Greetings

Stumbled across this site..looks good. I got interested in drums a loooong time ago primarily because my father played. My interest turned to obsession  when I saw Buddy Rich play at Music City in Philly where I had  just  started taking lessons from Dave Levin who studied with Dave Black from New York City.  And this was  really intensified when I saw Buddy Rich and Louie Bellson at the Academy of Music in Philly in the  battle of the drums.  Unfortunately I got away from the drums shortly after this and got back into it about 4 years ago. Early on I played in a rock band in Wildwood, NJ, but now play strictly for my own enjoyment. Because I wanted to be able to play whenever I felt the urge and I didn't want to drive my neighbors insane, I bought a set of V Drums. This was a tough choice because I never liked the sound of electronic drums, but I must say the V-Drums are the closest to acoustic I've ever heard and it is kind of neat to have so many kits in one set.  The only thing that turns me on more than drums is...well you know.  Hmmm, come to think of it, it really depends on the day!  ;-)
