GREAT ON TOMS BOTH BATTER AND RESO, NOT SO GOOD ON SNARES TUNED HIGH. ALL MINE I HAD TO REMOVE FROM SNARES TO KEEP FROM CRUSHING THEM IF THEY ARE THE ONES UNDER THE BOLT. TAMA MAES SOME TO SLIP ON TOP TO KEEP TUNING.

Well the manufacturers say they will solve the problem of tension bolt loosening. I've yet to swap them out on a drum but I do have a Tama Artwood snare that came with them and I rarely have to re-tune as long as the drum doesn't get exposed to heat. Canopus was giving away their brand of washers called "Bolt Tight" at Winter NAMM 2010. I still have them and will swap them out onto my Cyclone Drums snare and let you know if I notice a difference. Should chime back in by Mon.

I should also point out that the tension rods on all of my kit are the captive ones so the metal ones cannot be removed. I was thinking of putting the nylon washers under the metal ones. Don't know what difference this will make?

On my Tama there are both metal and nylon. It came that way when I bought it new.
