If you have an interest in DVDs for drummers, I recommend you consider Benny Greb's "Language of Drumming". This is one of the best drumming DVDs Ive come across. Its easy to see why this is considered a standard for every drummers library. His language concept is a logical and intuitive way to think of drumming. The video quality itself is excellent, as is the audio. The variety is interesting, the format is casual, Benny's personality is easy going, and his sense of humor adds to the overall presentation. Even though Ive played drums since childhood, Ive never been big on drum solos. But, this DVD has what I consider to be the absolute BEST and MOST ENTERTAINING drum solo Ive ever seen! (BTW-"ever" means 50+ years). As for his skills, he is clearly in the class of today's drum masters, and his playing style and technique is original. From the opening scene which humorously (and accurately) depicts "a day in the life" of what its like to have the "drummers curse", I say this DVD is a must have for drummers of all experience and skill levels. . . I agree with you this is a GREAT DVD.The way he breaks it down to his "Language" is clear to understand and should turn a light on for everyone who plays music. Get the DVD and watch it. Great DVD, great playing on it and a super great guy!
