Came across this link while shopping for CDs on Amazon. Since DC drummers are located everywhere, thought this might be of interest.
Apparently Porcupine Tree (Gavin Harrison's band) is going to be playing a few concerts in the U.S. soon. I know there's quite a few DC drummers in Florida, and according to the schedule, PT will be in Orlando and Miami Beach in April. Judging by the names, it sounds like they will playing in smaller venues (not stadiums) which would be very cool. I know the House of Blues in San Diego is not that big.
For those who may not know, Gavin is a virtuoso progressive rock/fusion drummer who is considered one of the world's best today by any measure. While I love the videos of his Modern Drummer jazz/fusion performances, I would prefer to see him playing the progressive rock tunes of Porcupine Tree.
For me, this would be on the same scale of life experiences as seeing John Bonham with Zeppelin in my youth. Hope its not too late for some DC drummers to get in on this. Here's the link I found... Bobby

Guys I saw Porcupine tree in december on the UK leg of the Tour, as a band they were amazing and gavin was awesome, if you want to see odd time signatures thrown in as though it was second nature then go see them, stuff the price they are worth it.
first half was the entire new album 55 minute track!!

I'm gonna wait to buy tickets. That razorgator site wants $112 for a HOB concert. That's pretty fucking nutts... Porcupine Tree or not. So, I searched HOB site and there's tickets for the price of:
