zildjian tour 2009 seminole fl.

o.k. so for my first thread ( hopefully this is the place for it ! ) my daughter and i recently went to the zildian tour held sept. 10 at seminole music and sound here in seminole fl . the guest drummers were john blackwell and casey grillo and many members of the zildjian team including cady zildjian . all i can say is we had a blast !!! all though this was supposed to be just a meet and great john and casey had a drum off which unfortunatly we missed by five minutes .... but casey did later give another demonstration of his talents on the drums . though i don't know much about john blackwell , i now have the utmost respect for the man as he spent 10-15 minutes one on one with my daughter ! its something i'm sure she will remember forever! we also purchased one of zildjians new , not yet released sound lab prototype cymbals to which cady zildjian wrote a little note and autographed the cymbal . as far as casey , well what can we say ! hes CASEY ! my daughters hero ! it was kind of funny when mr. blackwell asked her who her favorite drummer was and without hesitation she turned and pointed at casey and proudly said casey grillo ! we hope to make it to more of these types of events and i know they would not be possible without people like john spinelli of seminole music so we owe him a big thankyou along with the team from zildjian ! thank you all ! if the tour comes to your area you have got to make it ! the door prizes alone were worth the trip .
