Anyone else use Tabla in alternative metal?

markofDiseasewithin - Sun, 09/06/2009 - 15:58 | 5,261 views

I'm learning to play Tabla for our next record; any other tabla players out there that have adapted it into a fusion of western music, and/or acoustic sets of heavy music?

Yeah, I understand, it certainly takes a lifetime to play them well and properly...
I certainly like their tone, it's a quality sound to my ears,.. maybe they can be used
somewhat without offending too many hindu gods, lol!

Tablas are cool, but it's pretty much an art form!
