I started drumming at age 7, when I turned my TinkerToy set into a high-tech rhythm machine. Forty-five years later, my love of rhythm continues unabated. Born to a musical family,my brother Tim and I (twins, obviously) were influenced by our father, Vince, who had a successful dance band. Tim took up trumpet, which he changed to guitar in junior high. I continued playing drums, completing the circle by playing in my father's band for 2.5 years. Tim and I formed our first garage band in 19... read more...

I listen to and play mostly metal, rock, blues, funk, progressive, and jazz. I'll sit in and play just about anything though. I think playing the drums is the best therapy money can buy. I also play guitar and sing. ... read more...

It would be great to talk to some people about different styles of drumming, and maybe get some pointers...... read more...

Got my first drum kit from my jazz-listening father when I was 4 1/2, but didn't really start playing it until in the early 90's after discovering Metallica and Ulrich's playing on "Master...", "And justice..." and "Metallica". I have taken drum lessons from - among others - Mart Hällgren (De Lyckliga Kompisarna) and Micke Wikman (Alien, Planet Waves and others). Since 1996 I play drums in a coverband playing pop/rock music at parties and weddings. The last years I've been playing most... read more...
