This is a 2 hour DVD of hand drumming rhythms for the Djembe, Congas, Doumbek, Bongos, Ashiko, and other hand drums. It is not really intended as an instructional DVD, but a collection of 120 different rhythms to play and improvise from. No chit chat, other than a brief intro, no notations, no names of rhythms. It is an easy to follow set, with each rhythm numbered, and about a minute long. It's a huge volume of material.

Ideal for intermediate to professional level drummers, but a beginner can grow into these. Many are slower tempo, so if you are new to hand drumming, you will still have plenty to work with.

Biography: S.L. Ratigan is a percussionist, teacher, drum circle facilitator, and session musician who has accumulated a massive repertoire of rhythms. He has been playing drums since 1968
and worked as a percussionist in almost every type of music from symphony orchestra to rock bands.
He toured and recorded with the Manhattan Skyline, the Soul Corruptors and others. He has been facilitating, and attending drum circles for over 20 years. He was also a performer in a large number of television and film shows, including 8 seasons on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
He works with various groups, including at risk teens, special needs, events, and more. He is on the faculty of the Dunedin Fine Arts Center as a drum circle instructor.
