About Drummer Connection

DrummerConnection.com is a FREE Online Drumming Community designed to help Drummers unite around the world and share their knowledge, experiences, and skill with each other. Our purpose is to offer an online educational system that will help Drummers increase their awareness of musical structures, hone their skills, and most importantly Connect with their instruments in a way that is necessary to be able to express themselves efficiently, effortlessly and with enjoyment. No longer does the drumset, techniques, and playing music need to be overly complicated. We're here to help!

DrummerConnection.com was founded by Eric 'drumfreak' Rosebrock in 2006 after pondering the idea for several years dating back to 1998 when he specialized in Web Development and Information Technology, and during the Launch of PHP Freaks which was his first major online community. After authoring two books (Eric's author page on Amazon.com), and gaining extensive knowledge in Web Engineering, Networking, and Web Development of Online Communities / Social Networks, Eric pushed forward with his vision upon reaching the financial status to do so. Eric had a childhood dream of becoming a Drummer and he quickly pulled his resources together, and built a team of skilled Drummers to help build DrummerConnection.com. It has been a long winding road, but we are making tremendous progress and consistently evolving our platform.

Eric reached out to several drummers in the local area, to include Eli Pedone (Orlando, FL), Chris Carbonaro (Clearwater, FL), Damian King (Kissimmee, FL), Keith Thomas (Kissimmee, FL), Billy Ashbaugh (Orlando, FL), Jeffrey L. Cash Jr (Orlando, FL), and several other local musicians who have come on site to help us build our team, provide encouragement, influence, suggestions and feedback. Our team has been in full time action since it's inception in 2006.

DrummerConnection.com also gained massive support from John Spinelli of Seminole Music & Sound after John discovered our vision and quickly offered FREE help to get us rooted into the Music and Drumming Industry. Through John Spinelli, we were introduced to several wonderful people to include Terry Platt of Crush Drums & Percussion who helped us by offering friendship (not products or endorsements), and gave us opportunities that no other drumming company was willing to give us, to include exclusive Artist Interviews, and invitations to trade shows such as NAMM where we came on site and spent the week with ddrum behind the scenes and at their booth during the 2009 Winter NAMM show.

Note: DrummerConnection.com is not affiliated with ddrum, nor does our website as a whole have any business connections with any drum company in the industry. We are lone wolfs in the industry, but yet gain friendship and support from companies such as ddrum and Seminole Music & Sound who offered us friendship and guidance at no cost.

In addition, John Spinelli and Seminole Music & Sound made it possible for DrummerConnection.com to deliver and award Jim Chapin with the Jim Chapin Lifetime Achievement Award before he passed away on July 4th, 2009. Through this true bond and brotherhood of the Drumming Community, it was made evident by John Spinelli's belief in our vision, that Drummers are a truly unique family across the globe.

Our Web Development team has been blessed with our newest web developer Joseph J. Brewer who relocated across the country and joined forces with Eric Rosebrock to plan, design and implement new features across our site. Joe has an extensive background in web development, database technologies, graphic design and is just an all around great asset to our team. Joe keeps us in check and helps keep the features fresh and our website optimized for ease of use.

For a short period, Joe 'rotcav' Burke of BlueManFans.com, A Blue Man Group Fan Website, assisted in Social Networking and some graphic design, as well as offering musical inspiration and contributions to Drummer Connection.

Our Information Technology staff includes Jacob Hiers of Orlando, FL and The Web Freaks, INC (our parent company). Jacob and Eric Rosebrock are experts in server management, networking, and Data Center Operations. Combined, they planned, built, and hosted Playlist.com's infrastructure from it's inception to a full blown data center operation and growth to nearly 30 Million members from September, 2005 to February, 2009. With their experience, they have built an infrastructure of topnotch servers to power DrummerConnection.com through it's growth and successful operations.

DrummerConnection.com has been blessed with several Musicians to include Keith Thomas (local drummer for the band To My Dearly Beloved), Billy Ashbaugh (former Drummer for NSYNC, Pat Benatar, Britney Spears, Tim McGraw, and several other major musicians around the world), Jeffrey L. Cash Jr (local musician in Orlando and Kissimmee, FL), Danilo Maia (local drummer in Orlando and Kissimmee, FL as well as a student a Valencia College studying Sound Engineering and Design).
