Buying Drums or Drum Gear / want to buy a calypso steel drum for a friend....need help.

I know nothing about drums...I have a friend that plays the drums but Id like to buy him a steel drum, the kind that calypso musicians play. It doesnt need to be anything incredible...just something to play around on. Im looking to spend about $200 bucks....is this possible?

Ive found a few for  between $700-3,000.

Is 200 completely unreasonable?

Девочки,привет.Тема для меня неприятная,даже писать вам как-то неудобно.Но нуждаюсь в помощи,так что вот в чем дело.Мой МЧ(вместе больше 2-х лет) стал как-то халатно к себе относиться.То есть может не менять трусы 3-4 дня,не купаться.Может прийти в грязной майке или штанах.С грязной головой или ногтями.Меня это вообще убивает,особенно когда дело доходит до интима,а от него..например,потом пахнет(??),у меня сразу всякое желание отбивается.  Или вот с трусами проблема.Я ему уже напрямую говорю,что мол,меняй трусы каждый день.Он либо отшучивается,либо говорит "ладно,буду менять" ,а на следующий день все повторяется.Мне очень неприятно,что он в таком виде может ко мне появиться,я-то к его приходу вся намоюсь-намажусь-набреюсь,а ему получается пофиг как он передо мной выглядит?? 
Раньше я особо не замечала за ним такого,наоборот все было..Но сейчас я уже иной раз близости с ним не хочу!!! 
Он конечно не всегда ходит грязный или немытый,но и не сказать,что редко.. 
Как бороться с этим,девочки?? 
Я уже и так и сяк ему и намекаю,и напрямую говорю-не понимает он что-ли??Или может это мои придирки все?? 
В общем,буду рада всем советам и отзывам,вопросам и предложениям.

I actually used to do this when playing with a click track. When i was just grooving.. everything was fine but as soon as i started playing with a click track i would get off tempo or lose my beat. Just had to spend hours of practice to get it down. I still to this day cant play as well to a click track as i can without it. a bit frustrating when you want to record!!

Hello all...
I am looking for a new snare. I currently have a PDP Platinum snare 5x14 and it is awesome.... but it is only awesome for rock... I want a snare that is tone'y like a reggae snare .. and offers a loud crack. Something that would fit hip hop music really well. I have a 10" popcorn snare but i want a full size snare (14"). Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe a piccolo? or something along those lines....
