I play a 6pc + Edge Snare Dw Maple Collector Series in Broken Glass born March 23rd 2004.  All Sabian's & 9000 DW hardware. Including 9000 double pedal.  I love my kit.  I looks awesome on stage under the lights! My kit would have to be hit by a bus before I stopped playing it!  Also, I have a Roland TD-20 for those venues that only allow electric.

I have a PDP LX Series and the shell sizes are: 10", 12", 14", and 16" toms; 14" snare; and a 22" bass drum.  I have Zildjian cymbals: 14" K Custom, 16", 17", and 18" A Custom, 14" hi-hats with the a mastersound hi-hat on the bottom, and a 21" Sweet Ride.  I use evans on the bass and toms, but I use remo on the snare.  And pro-mark sticks.  That's pretty much it!

Yeah, i think it looks pretty cool. I really never cared for the "edrum" look, but I liked all the versatility. (plug and play) Being a beginner that keeps the frustration level down a notch while I learn. I'll try to find my camera and drop som photos in my profile. I've been having a hard time being able to even respond to posts for some reason. But I think the photo upload will be easy enough. I posted some inquiries on the electronic drum post hoping I could get some quick answers before I purchase a new module this week. So far no response. Check it out and shoot me some opinions.

I would love to see what looks like. I saw a beginner level ddrum kit on ebay once and it was triggerd like yours. It looked awesome! You kinda get the best of both worlds.

8)I have a 7 piece Smokey Chrome Pearl Forum set. 8", 10", 12", 14", 16" Toms, 22"x16" Kick and standard 14" matching snare. All rack mounted. DW 5002AD3 Accelorator pedal. Gibraltar/ Hart Dynamics Hybrid Rack (just stuff I put together because I had it). All converted with internal triggers, Hart Dynamics Magnum mesh heads' REMO Muffl Sound Control (cut out to various sizes depending on the tom size - this cuts back on cross talk and double triggering) Alesis D4, Roland TD-3 modules. Various Hart Dynamics Ecymbals, a couple of Traps cymbals, some Alesis Surge cymbals on the way and a variable hi-hat cntoller that mounts to a standard hi-hat stand. Now looking to upgrade to a high-end module. Oh yeah, A Roc N Soc Lunar Air Throne w/ back and some (5)Hart Dynamics Prodigy Trigger pads.

I love the Roc N Soc thrones. Do you have a problem with your back rest wobbling from time to time. I keep re-tightening it but you know how that goes. It seems like the screws tend to strip out the wood.....any thoughts?

I play a Tama Swing Star 4 peice kit. The wrap has been taken off, shells sanded, and staind to make a beautiful wood grain finish. I recently put on Remo Ebony Ambbassdor heads, for 10, 12, and 14 in. toms with original tama resonets. Pearl sound control head on bass drum.. I have a double pedal,, but more of a single pedal player.. As long as its not 32nds, I can do it on a singal.  A mix of Pearl and Gibralter Harware..  I havent upgraded symbals yet, so Im rocking Sabian B8's.  :( Planning on sticking with Sabian, but probably aax or something..
and of course,, None other then the legendary Roc-N-Soc to balance on..

I have a 7 piece kit from Medicine Man Custom Drums. The toms are 10,12,14,15 which pretty much destroys ANY chance of buying all four heads in a tom pack ;D I have a 20in kick and 2 snares-one 10, and the other is a 12. I was using the 12 as my primary snare but since I bought the Chad Smith it's become secondary. I really don't use the 10in snare anymore but it makes a nice accent or timbale substitute...sorta. Right now they have a set of Evans EC2 clear and a remo on the snare, Evans EMAD on the kick.I use the curved Gibralter rack with Sabian, Zildjian, and Wuhan cymbals. OH- and the Pearl Eliminator double pedal....I SWEAR BY IT!

I play (well here's what I got) a Mapex M Series (maple) 6 piece kit: 10,12,14,16, 5.5x14 snare. B/ut at this point I only use the 12,14,16 toms ,and I replaced the snare drum for a vintage DW 8x14 Maple. I mostly use all evans (coated) heads on the toms and snare (G2s on toms, Genera HD Dry on Snare) but lately i'v been using remo coated emperors on the top of my toms. For the longest time I have been unhappy with the sound of the kit, but I finally found a head combo that worked, and I also found a knack for tuning and getting each drum to the pitch it sounds best at.

As for cymbals, I'm mostly a Zildjian guy, I play on an 18" Zildjian A custom Projection Crash, and 21" Zildjian Armand Ride (used as a ride and crash, cause it sounds good both ways). I also have a 16" A Custom crash, but only use it sometimes. My hats are 14" Sabian AAX Stage Hats, but I really wanna sell them and get something else. I have really grown to Meinl lately and want all my cymbals to be Meinl, but I'll jsut start with a set of meinl hi hats.

Sticks: I play Vater 5B Wood tip, nothing else :] Occasionally a Vater 5A, or some brushes here and there, but I stick to my 5B's.

Hardware: Mostly the stock Mapex Hardware, it's alright but nothing special. Snare stand- DW 5000. Pedals- DW 5002 Double Pedal (I'd like the 5000 Hi Hat Stand to Match :]

That's probably all of it (even though i have another kit, but i'll get into that one at another time

What do you play?!

I just got a 7 piece Mapex Saturn (in Mango Burst) set.  Sure, they're made in China, but they sound great and the hardware is solid.  I replaced the tom heads with Aquarian Performance II's (the stock remos are crap in my humble opinion).  I put a Superkick II on the 22" bass, and slapped an Evans Genera II on the snare.  I only replaced the res head on the bass and man did it need it! I like a hollow booming tone (no pillow) and I couldn't get a good sound without changing the res head.

As for Cymbals, I have a wide range of med range cymbals.  I also have a 18" Zildjian A China boy that I love, but the two bands I gig with don't like it. (as they are Puritan snobs).
